Tennessee Roadtrip
Just returned from 10 days of good food and family. My mama and I traveled across Tennessee visiting friends and family. I filled up on hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, country ham, corn cakes and pecan pie. The South is now my latest muse…..stay tuned ya’ll.

Yesterday I was in Lyons and couldn’t pass up the little outdoor flea market by Oskar Blues. I spotted the red step stool first ($15), then the ginormous eagle belt buckle($4), paper round luggage($5) that is nicely stained and then the crazy, dyed rabbit top ($5). I’m adding wide leather tan straps and wearing to the upcoming paper fashion show in Denver I feel like a giant rabbits foot when I wear it. Haven’t decided if it’s creepy or creepy cool.

Yes, it was a labor of love but we finally finished four custom tables for New Belgium tasting room. What started out as 10 individual boxes became @ 100 per table. The tables are made from Colorado beetle kill by Nate Wysock and Matt Chapman. We wanted to highlight the blues, greens and reds that the beetles left behind with a pickling white wash. This helped to tone down the lodge look and modernize. I worked with artist Erin Hughes to fill each and every space. Of course the best part for both of us was the hunt for treasures. The cherry for the tables is a mixture of vintage chairs painted a glossy red.
